Parts Counter Associate

Job Title: Parts Counter Associate

Reports to: Parts Manager

Compensation: $18/hr 

Job Summary:

The Parts Counter Associate is the go-to expert for customers and technicians seeking automotive or machinery parts. This role blends customer service with inventory management, ensuring the right parts are available, ordered, issued or delivered efficiently. Parts Counter associate will ensure that Parts for assigned work orders are pulled or ordered accordingly to priority status and issued to the assigned technician.

    Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist customers (retail and internal) in identifying and purchasing the correct parts.
  • Provide price quotes, product availability, and technical guidance.
  • Process sales transactions, returns, and warranty claims.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and restock shelves.
  • Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely parts delivery.
  • Order out-of-stock items and track special orders.
  • Keep the counter area clean, organized, and customer-friendly.
  • Data entry into WMS.
  • Inventory count and verification.
  • Participate in training to stay current on product updates.

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in automotive or machinery parts preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and point-of-sale software.
  • Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs.
